Update 30/05/08 Nepal and the Himalayas
The Himalayan mountain range stretches for 2,410km and at its highest point is 8,848m (29,029ft) above sea level, Everest, well we didn't get to the top of that but at 5,500m (18,044ft) up in the Annapurna range we shot a series of stunning panoramas and mountain reference shots. At this altitude (2,500m from the Death Zone) the amount of oxygen in the air is halved and progress is slow and difficult to say the least. ImageARC prides itself on acquiring images from remote and awe inspiring locations, in this update from Nepal, artists will find a rare selection of truly hard to find assets. From the frozen, snow capped peaks of the Annapurna massif to the ancient, intricately carved wooden windows of town houses in Kathmandu this 10,000+ image update represents another ground breaking collection for our users to access. Panoramas up to 30,000 pixel horizontal resolution. 10 Megapixel Stills of Rock, Stone, Ground, Snow and Wood Textures. Ice, Snow, Mountain and Landscape reference.
